The 2009 Board of Directors began their 2-year term following the Club Championship on December 13, 2008 at Knollwood Country Club. They held their first meeting on December 20, 2008 and implemented new Standing Rules for the organization. When necessary, the standing rules will allow SCDGC greater flexibility in adopting annual changes by majority vote of the Board.

For instance, membership fees could be decreased [or increased] depending on economical factors and organization membership size. Such changes are easier and more practical than Bylaw ratifications [2/3rds membership vote].
